Since I joined Algeria Venture and during ASEP program, I had the chance to meet many great startups from different countries. We had a lot of useful discussions about partnerships and how to work with large companies.

Then in South Korea, I visited some amazing startup hubs and incubators. What I saw there was different:
Big companies were not just buying services, they were #co_creating with startups through #open_innovation.

Let me explain the difference in a simple way:

🔹 Tender = The company knows exactly what it wants. You just send a proposal to do the job.
🔹 Open Innovation = The company has a challenge. You bring your ideas to solve it, and maybe build something together.

📌 One is about doing what they ask.
📌 The other is about thinking together and creating new value.

I noticed that many early-stage founders still think like service providers. But startups are more than that , they can be real innovation partners.

To grow strong ecosystems, we need to build real bridges between startups and large companies, where both sides benefit.

Let’s move beyond just “services”. Let’s create things that matter.
